Ornithological Council Resolution
The April 1998 resolution, accepted by the major ornithological societies in the Western Hemisphere, calling for action on the long neglected issue of bird mortality at communications towers. This concerted statement by professional ornithologists helped establish the context for the United States Fish & Wildlife Service to legitimize directing resources toward mitigating avian tower mortality.
